research と survey の違い

質問されて、researchとsurveyの違いを、英英辞典と英和辞典で調べてみました。

research

survey
n.
1 a general look; view; examination; inspection.

5 plan or description of this: She pointed out the new highway route on the government survey.

researchの方が、学術的で、本格的、体系的な調査、という意味合いが強いようです。
アンケートをさす場合は、surveyやquestionnaireを使うと思います。researchは使いません。
